Floats foul on debris, tangle on cables, and stick against pit walls. During installation we set float cable lengths precisely, keep them clear of the pump's turbulence, and test every level physically — not just on the control panel.

Discharge pipework and the non-return valve

The discharge line rises from the pit to the drain or sewer connection. A non-return (check) valve close to the pump stops the column of water falling back into the pit at every stop — without it, the pump re-pumps the same water endlessly and short-cycles. An isolating valve above the non-return valve allows maintenance without draining the line. For sewage ejectors, the connection to the sanitary line must follow PUB requirements and be executed by a PUB Licensed Plumber.
